If this is a gaming system, then make sure the battery is fully charged before starting a game. Your laptop can overheat if it has to charge the battery at the same time as playing a game. Avoid any intensive games if not plugged in.
To mitigate the heat problem you should use a laptop cooler.
In the OGH you should be able to set fan speed. If the fan idles at 80c you need to manually set the fan to maximum. Make sure you have the latest OGH
If you are not using the Omen Game Hub then I recommend you keep the CPU out of turbo mode. Edit the power plan and set the maximum processor speed to %99 for when plugged in and a smaller value if just on batteries.
Enter the phrase edit power plan in the window search box
Then select the Advanced tab
To keep the CPU from overheating , consider
using %99 instead of %100.
if this is a gaming system then the game hub may overrides the power setting.
