Hi @Wnerwiony-a1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your display after updating the BIOS on your new Victus laptop.
However, I can suggest some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue. First, try connecting your laptop to the HP display using a different cable or adapter. Sometimes, faulty cables or adapters can cause connection issues.
If that doesn't work, try updating the graphics driver on your laptop. You can do this by going to the manufacturer's website and downloading the latest driver for your graphics card. Click here
If neither of these solutions works, you may need to contact technical support for further assistance. They may be able to provide more specific instructions or diagnose any hardware issues that may be causing the problem.
As for the BIOS update, it's possible that the update included changes to the system's settings that affected the display output. It's always important to read the release notes before updating the BIOS, as they often contain important information about changes to the system.
I understand your frustration with unexpected changes to your laptop, but it's important to keep your system up-to-date to ensure it's running smoothly and securely. If you prefer to have more control over updates, you can adjust your update settings in Windows to notify you before installing any updates.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
