i have a Victus 16-r1045nt and i recently learned intel 14th gen cpu's have issues with rapid cpu degradation and they have somewhat fixed it with 0x12b and 0x129 bios updates. HP says its best we update our pcs with the bios updates on hp site for our device models, what i wonder is if F.14 Rev.A bios update found on hp site include those fixes. if not how can i update my bios with them

According to the bios history as shown here, there has been no improvement in performance since F.03

All other "fixes" are security upgrades that will slow down your laptop.

If you can pass UEFI diagnostics (tap ESC when booting) then there is a good chance a bios update will not brick your laptop.

It is always dangerous to upgrade bios. Unless there is a real need and the HP support assistant requests the upgrade, I would not do it. Look at the BIOS revision history and see if an upgrade is useful. Updates that improve security are needed in a corporate environment but for gaming system they will likely slow down your system.
I personally would not upgrade any gaming BIOS that was only security related unless the PC was used in a corporate, industrial or military organization.

Check your warranty and decided if you want to risk a BIOS upgrade like these users did

There are 3 levels of HP BIOS updates:  Routine, Recommended and Critical.

It does not appear that BIOS update makes any major changes, as it is listed as a 'Routine' update.

I would imagine that if the update provided a fix to that problem, it would have been listed as 'Critical.'

It does not appear that any of the previous BIOS updates added a fix for that problem either.

You will have to wait until HP releases a BIOS update in the future to fix that problem.
