I am trying to install VMware Player, however the error is " This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU"
my system type is 64 bit PC. So how to solve this issue?

Press the power button and immediately tap the Esc key to invoke the startup menu. In the startup menu press the F10 key to invoke the BIOS.
In the BIOS, as seen in the following image, select the System Confioguration tab and then enable Virtualization Technology. Press F10 to select save changes and exit. Install VMWare Player.
