Hi @ashtrey6cry3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your HP Envy X360 laptop is shutting down without any error code.

Here are the safe troubleshooting steps you can try for an HP notebook that restarts, shuts down, or loops before startup:

Recommended HP troubleshooting:

Perform a hard reset:

  • Turn off the notebook.

  • Disconnect the AC adapter.

  • Disconnect/remove the battery if possible.

  • Hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.

  • Reconnect power and try starting again.

HP notes this can clear memory and reestablish BIOS-to-hardware connections.

Load BIOS default settings:

  • Reboot the PC.

  • Enter BIOS setup.

  • Go to Main > Restore defaults (or Apply Factory Defaults and Exit, depending on model).

  • Save changes and exit.

Check for power-related causes:

  • Test with a known-good HP AC adapter.

  • Disconnect all peripherals.

  • If the battery or adapter is weak, the system can shut down unexpectedly.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
