My hp omen 15 2018 space is not backlight (rgb backlight) , i dont know if it was in the past but now its not (the rest of the keybord are light just fine and all the keys are working beautifully) , also the omen key is not working , i got the omen cc from microsoft store and the sp from hp and now is working but the button isnt (this i dont care so much).

Its not a driver problem.

Contact Support and explain the situation. As far as I know, the space bar is lit.

They will most likely send you a return box to mail the laptop to them for repair.

If a key backlight is no longer working, Its a physical failure and the keyboard would have to be replaced. You would need to contact HP Support directly for a warranty claim.

If your Omen Home Key no longer opens the command center, this is a problem that HP is working on. At the moment, they dont have a solution.

Ty for your fast reply i will do so , but i need first to know if the space key is backlight or not , if not there is no need , on the omen cc it shows as it should be , but i still question this as there are a bunch of hp laptops with backlinght but not on the space key .

i mean even on their presentation website it shows that the space bar should have the color of a specific zone (one of the 4 zones) but in every video and even on theyr site it shows as it hase 2 , and then there is a picture that show it in real live and the space bar didnt seem to be backlight . it could also be a driver problem or a omen cc error or something like that . i want to be sure because in my country i would have to stay without my laptop for about a week , just because it would have to be transported there and back .

Hello again i spoke with the hp suport and they said there is no need to send them the laptop as the space bar in not backlit on my model . As for the omen button , i will wait . Ty tho for the help .

OK that is strange but if they say so, ok.

As for the Omen button not working, HP is looking for a solution and has not found a fix yet.

We will have to wait for the fix. Im sorry.
