OMEN 15 2060
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been having an issue similar too this other comment  by Xjamps which ill copy and paste here:

"I am having an issue regarding my keyboard in HP Omen 15 rtx 2060 version. When I'm playing games, sometimes pressing R for reload in valorant don't register. When I'm typing on word or any application, the pressing the letter R registers just fine, but sometimes it doesn't especially after playing Valorant, pressing letter R just wont work often. But as I am typing this, letter R just seems registering fine. I don't know if it's a hardware problem or a software problem. I think after a long games of pressing the WASD key, it affects the letter R? Or when I pressed r repetitively, it won't register anymore. What are your thoughts? The only keyboard problem was the letter R at all."

my problem is the exact same but not only for R but WASD as well. mainly W which I'm sure you can imagine, its veryyyyyy frustrating when playing basically any game. does anybody pleaseeeeeee know any kinda fix? it would be a HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE help. ty xox

@torr

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand that your HP notebook keyboard is not working correctly. It seems like game conflicts with the key entry, as letter R registers when you type in word.

Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics to complete a functional test of the keyboard and identify any problems with the hardware.

NOTE: Bluetooth devices are not currently supported.
  1. Download the latest version of HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.

  2. In Windows, search for and right-click HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows, and then select Run as administrator.

    Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows as an administrator

  3. Click Component Tests, click Input Devices, and then select the Keyboard Test.

    Running the Keyboard Test

  4. Click Run once to begin the test.

    The test ends when you complete the tasks or after 3 minutes.

For more information about using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows, go to HP PCs - Testing for Hardware Failures.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
