Hi @Maheshvadla,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop keyboard is not working despite resetting and uninstalling all keyboard drivers, there could be several reasons behind this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to identify and potentially resolve the problem.

Check for physical issues.

  • Make sure there is no debris or dust obstructing the keyboard keys. Clean the keyboard gently using compressed air or a soft brush.
  • Verify that none of the keys are stuck or physically damaged. Press each key individually to see if any of them are unresponsive or feel different from the others.

Try an external keyboard.

  • Connect an external USB keyboard to your laptop and check if it works. If it does, this may indicate an issue with the internal keyboard itself.

Check the keyboard settings.

  • Go to "Control Panel" > "Hardware and Sound" > "Devices and Printers."
  • Right-click on your laptop's name and select "Keyboard Settings."
  • Ensure that the keyboard is enabled and set to the correct language and layout.

Update or roll back keyboard drivers.

  • Go to "Device Manager" by right-clicking on the "Start" button and selecting "Device Manager."
  • Expand the "Keyboards" section, right-click on the keyboard device, and select "Update driver." Follow the on-screen instructions to update the driver.
  • If updating the driver doesn't work, you can try rolling back the driver to a previous version.

Check for system updates.

  • Ensure that your laptop has the latest Windows updates installed. Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update" and check for updates.

Run a System File Checker (SFC) scan.

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Type the command "sfc /scannow" (without quotes) and press Enter. This will scan for and repair corrupted system files that might be affecting the keyboard functionality.

Perform a system restore.

  • If the keyboard stopped working after a recent software installation or update, you can try performing a system restore to revert the system to a previous state when the keyboard was working.

Test in Safe Mode.

  • Boot your laptop into Safe Mode and check if the keyboard works there. If it does, a third-party application or driver may be causing the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
