OMEN Laptop - 15-ek0013nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

i'm looking for max capacity of ram in my 2020 Omen Laptop. It's HP Omen 15-ekxxxx with i7-10750, 1660Ti and 16gb of Ram, which I changed for 32gb of RAM. I want to change to 64gb of RAM, the HP website states that 32gb is maximum, the crucial and many forums state that 64gb is maximum. Any ideas?

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to do this to confirm how much memory your notebook can support.

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

If the report indicates that 2 x 16 GB is the max, you will have to take your chances if you want to install 2 x 32 GB of memory because I cannot find any posts on this forum where someone has upgraded the 15-ek0xxx model series notebook to 64 GB of memory.
