Hi @Vishalkumar8730,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like you're tackling two issues with your Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop—mouse auto-moving or clicking on its own, and the power button not working. Let's take a methodical approach to address both.

For the mouse issue, start by disabling the touchpad. This can usually be done with the shortcut Fn + F11 or the touchpad toggle key specific to your laptop. If you're using an external mouse, unplug it to see if the issue persists, it could help narrow down the cause. Updating or reinstalling the drivers is also worth a try. Go to Device Manager, locate "Mice and other pointing devices," right-click your touchpad or mouse, and select "Update driver." If that doesn’t resolve the issue, consider running the HP Hardware Diagnostics tool by restarting the laptop, pressing F2, and selecting "Component Tests" > "Mouse/Touchpad Test."

Now for the power button, begin by checking if the button is stuck. Try pressing it a few times firmly but gently. If that doesn’t work, perform a hard reset. Turn off the laptop, unplug it, and remove any connected peripherals. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, then reconnect everything and attempt to turn it on. If the power button remains unresponsive, some laptops allow you to power them on using an external keyboard if the feature is enabled in BIOS settings. It’s worth exploring that as a temporary workaround.

Let me know how things progress and if you need more detailed guidance! 😊

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?"—your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍
