Interested to know if my system model has a mux switch to improve performance. (system model System Model Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa1xxx)

I checked HP’s official documentation and support resources for the Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa1xxx series. According to HP’s specifications and community responses, this model does not include a hardware MUX switch

 

The graphics switching is handled through NVIDIA Optimus technology, meaning the system dynamically switches between the integrated GPU and the discrete NVIDIA GPU depending on workload.

 

A MUX switch (sometimes marketed as “Advanced Optimus” or “direct GPU mode”) is available only on certain higher-end HP Omen models, not on the Victus 15-fa1xxx series. This means you won’t be able to force the laptop to run exclusively on the discrete GPU via a hardware-level toggle.
