Hi @3laa_Z,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Since the built-in camera is not listed in Device Manager and the usual software troubleshooting has not resolved the issue, Windows might not be detecting the webcam hardware. The Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fb3000 does not use a physical webcam privacy slider, so there is no shutter switch to open.
Perform a power reset
- Turn off the laptop.
- Disconnect the AC adapter and all connected devices.
- Press and hold the Power button for approximately 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the AC adapter and turn on the laptop.
- In Windows, open Device Manager.
- Select Action > Scan for hardware changes.
- Check Cameras, Imaging devices, and Universal Serial Bus controllers for the webcam or any device showing a warning symbol.
Also select View > Show hidden devices in Device Manager and check again.
Install HP updates
Use HP Support Assistant to install all available BIOS, chipset, firmware, and driver updates for the laptop. Restart the computer after completing the updates, and then check Device Manager again.
For additional webcam troubleshooting, follow this HP document: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_3960099-3335046-16
Next steps
If the camera remains completely absent from Device Manager after the power reset, hardware scan, and HP updates, the issue might involve the internal webcam module or its connection. This would require a hardware inspection.
Please confirm whether the camera stopped working after an update, repair, display replacement, impact, or liquid exposure. If possible, also share a screenshot of Device Manager with Cameras, Imaging devices, and Universal Serial Bus controllers expanded. Do not include the laptop serial number publicly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
I'm an HP Employee.
