Hi @ashish1100

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If your laptop is dropping FPS during heavy tasks, it could be due to overheating or insufficient cooling.

Before deciding to buy a new fan, here are some steps to consider:

Clean the Existing Fan:

  • Dust buildup can reduce cooling efficiency. Open your laptop (if you're comfortable doing so) and clean the fan and vents using compressed air.

Monitor Temperatures:

  • Use software like HWMonitor or MSI Afterburner to check your CPU and GPU temperatures. If they are consistently high, it might indicate a cooling issue.

Apply Thermal Paste:

  • Reapplying thermal paste to the CPU and GPU can improve heat transfer and cooling performance.

Check Fan Performance:

  • If the fan is noisy or not spinning properly, it might need replacement. You can find compatible fans for your HP Pavilion 15-ec2000 on HP's Support website or third-party sites like LaptopMedia.

Consider External Cooling:

  • A cooling pad can provide additional airflow and help manage temperatures during heavy tasks.

If cleaning and optimizing don't resolve the issue, replacing the fan might be a good idea.
