Hi @aadell11,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The booster problem in the OMEN Gaming Hub app could indeed lead to FPS drops and performance issues. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue.

Steps to Fix OMEN Gaming Hub Booster Issues

Update the OMEN Gaming Hub:

  • Ensure that you are using the latest version of the OMEN Gaming Hub.
  • Open the Microsoft Store, search for OMEN Gaming Hub, and update it if an update is available.

Reinstall the OMEN Gaming Hub:

  • Uninstall the current version of the app:
    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps (Windows 11) or Settings > Apps > Apps & Features (Windows 10).
    • Find OMEN Gaming Hub, click Uninstall.
  • Reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.

Check OMEN Optimizer Settings:

  • Open the OMEN Gaming Hub.
  • Navigate to the Optimizer or Booster tab.
  • Ensure that the System Booster is enabled correctly and that the necessary apps and processes are not being throttled.
  • You can try resetting the settings by turning the booster off and then on again.

Disable Booster and Monitor FPS:

  • If the booster is causing issues, try disabling it temporarily:
    • Go to Settings within OMEN Gaming Hub.
    • Disable the booster feature.
  • Test the game’s FPS without it to check if the performance improves.

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Visit the website for your GPU (NVIDIA or AMD) and download the latest drivers for your system.
  • Ensure the drivers are installed cleanly using tools like DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) if necessary.

Check Windows Power and Performance Settings:

  • Open Control Panel > Power Options.
  • Select High Performance or Best Performance (in Windows 11, you can adjust this under Settings > System > Power & Battery > Performance Mode).

Verify Background Processes:

  • Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
  • Check for high CPU, GPU, or RAM usage by unnecessary background apps.
  • End non-essential tasks to free up system resources.

Run System Diagnostics:

  • Use the OMEN Gaming Hub’s Diagnostics Tool to check for hardware issues:
    • Navigate to My OMEN > Diagnostics.
    • Run a full diagnostic scan.

Update BIOS and Firmware:

  • Visit the official HP Support website for your OMEN 15 model.
  • Check for any BIOS or firmware updates and install them.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
