Hi @soumo1588,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing an issue with the Omen Command Center on your Victus By HP 15.6 Inch Gaming Laptop where clicking the "Update" button causes the application to close without performing the update. This can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Sometimes, Omen Command Center may require certain Windows updates to function correctly.

Reinstall Omen Command Center: Uninstall the Omen Command Center and then reinstall it. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Press Win + X and select "Apps and Features."
  • Search for "Omen Command Center" in the list of installed applications, click on it, and select "Uninstall."
  • Once uninstalled, download the latest version of Omen Command Center from the official HP website and install it.

Check for HP Driver Updates: Ensure that all your HP drivers are up-to-date. Visit the official HP website, enter your laptop's model number, and download the latest drivers for your system.

Run as Administrator: You mentioned you've already tried running Omen Command Center as an administrator, but it's worth trying again. Right-click on the Omen Command Center icon and choose "Run as administrator."

Disable Antivirus or Firewall: Sometimes, third-party antivirus or firewall software can interfere with software updates. Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall and then try running the update again.

Check for Error Logs: Look for error logs or crash reports related to Omen Command Center. You can often find these in the Event Viewer or in a specific folder on your system. Examining these logs might provide more information about the cause of the issue.

Remember to back up important data before making any major changes to your system, such as reinstalling software or updating drivers. This ensures that your data is safe in case anything goes wrong during the troubleshooting process.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
