Hi @Ofogel123,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The issue where OMEN Light Studio displays a message saying "your account does not have permission to open OMEN Light Studio" typically indicates a permissions issue on your Windows 11 system. This can be caused by several factors, such as the application requiring administrator privileges, a misconfiguration in your user account settings, or restrictive Windows policies that are in place. Here's a step-by-step approach to troubleshoot and potentially fix this issue:

Run as Administrator:

  • Right-click on the OMEN Light Studio shortcut.
  • Select "Run as administrator".
  • If this resolves the issue, you can set the program to always run as an administrator by right-clicking the shortcut, going to Properties > Compatibility tab, and checking the box for "Run this program as an administrator".

Check Account Type:

  • Ensure your user account has Administrator privileges.
  • Go to Settings > Accounts > Your info to check your account type.
  • If you're not an administrator, you might need to switch to an admin account or change your account type, which requires admin privileges.

Windows Account Permissions:

  • Sometimes, the issue could be with specific permissions assigned to your user account or a corrupted user profile.
  • Consider creating a new user account with administrative privileges to see if the problem persists. If the new account works fine, you might need to migrate your files and settings to the new account.

Update or Reinstall OMEN Light Studio:

  • Ensure that OMEN Light Studio and your system drivers, especially those related to your OMEN hardware, are up to date. Use the HP Support Assistant for updating HP software and drivers.
  • If updates do not resolve the issue, consider reinstalling OMEN Light Studio. Uninstall the application first from the Control Panel or Settings > Apps, and then reinstall it from the official source.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Make sure your Windows 11 operating system is up to date with all the latest updates and patches, as these could include fixes for compatibility issues with applications.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
