first off sorry if this is the wrong area to post this but.. i recently picked up my gaming laptop HP pavillion gaming 15 cx0xxx.

with i5-8300H 2.3,  GTX 1050 GPU. now the question the GPU is fine now can i upgrade the CPU to a slightly faster one and maybe add some more RAM...

Hello @cpetryshen

You cannot upgrade the cpu or gpu in a laptop since they are hard soldered to the motherboard.

You can add ram if you need, up to 16 GB.

You need to match what is there already. Use a utility like Speccy to read what the timings are and match those.
