i have a HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-dk2012TX (471B9PA)
i already have 8 gb installed in this one and want to further install 16 gb making it 24 gb. I want to ask if combination of 8gb and 16 gb would hamper the performance of the laptop

We don't work for or represent HP, so no one here can tell you what it will cost to have an authorized HP service center install memory for you.

You will have to contact HP customer service and see if they can give you an estimate.

Plan to pay quite a bit.

Hi:

What you want to do should be fine.

Your notebook's memory is currently running in single channel mode anyway, so adding a 16 GB memory chip cannot hurt the performance.
