why my laptop screen goes very dim when i unplugged the charging cable

Because the Power settings are by default, lowering the screen brightness to save battery power.

You can change this in the Power Options.

 

Type Power Options in the Search bar and hit the Enter key to open it.

Scroll down to Additional power settings and click on it.

There will be a slider that controls screen brightness at the bottom.

Or

Click on the power plan you are using (Balanced) and click on Change plan settings.

Adjust the brightness slider for On Battery.
