This is a mother board issue not keyboard, and others category doesn't work.  So what is the correct way to apply thermal paste?

@dgosain,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

To cut to the chase: it doesn't really matter what thermal paste application method you use.

Some of us, including myself, happen to prefer the spreading ("buttered toast") method.

Decide for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofyNgJyhGuc&t=10s&ab_channel=TechIlliterate.
