does victus 16-d0300tx comes with 60hz or 144hz display? in mine it shows only 40.1hz and 60.1hz. does it have 144hz support they sold me with saying it has 144hz support

If you have already updated GPU driver then it's likely support ,60hz only. You can Contact the seller (e.g., Amazon/Flipkart/HP partner/Store) within 7-15 days of delivery demanding full refund or 144Hz varient replacement. That's all

Below is the parts list for your notebook:

 

HP PartSurfer

 

According to the parts list it comes with a 60 Hz display.

 

M54732-001    RAW PANEL 16.1 FHD AG UWVA250 e1.2 S

 

Chapter 3, page 20 of the service manual below, shows the two 144 Hz display part numbers and descriptions and as you can see, your notebook's display is not one of them.
