bought omen 16 a few weeks ago. From the first day, the touchpad feels so laggy and fn f11 fix it temporally. I thought it was because I have not updated windows and bios but after all that has been updated it still has the same issue. So I brought back the unit and exchanged it for the new one and it still has the same problem so it is definitely it is a software problem. It is really annoying when working suddenly the touchpad dies.

Hi @Brandon456,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing Touchpad issues with the HP Omen Laptop and the touchpad is unresponsive or erratic.
I have a few recommendations
- Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
- Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
If the issue still persists then test the touchpad using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
- Start or restart the computer.
- Press F2 repeatedly during start-up to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility.
- Select Component Tests > Touchpad
- Click Run Once.
Once the test completes, results are displayed on the screen. If the test fails gather 24-digit alphanumeric and keep me posted.
If the test passes, continue to restore a computer back to the factory default using Reset PC inside windows, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue.
Note: Before resetting, make sure to back the data.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
