I wanted to ask if the cpu or the gpu on this laptop are changeable. The one I have is I believe a 2016 model and it's starting to get out of date a little bit. It underperforms it's desktop relatives with the same gpu. And if I cant change them, is this model compatible with an eGpu?

Its specs

Manual:

  1. CPU and GPU: No, you can't upgrade CPU nor GPU because they are on a same (soldered to) system board. Actually your machine is on the top of the range. You can check system boards on page 47.
  2. eGPU: Modern eGPU requires  Thunderbolt™ 3 port. Your machine does NOT have external nor internal port which is fast enough for an eGPU.

Regards.
