Hi,
I recently purchased the Omen 15 (2020) and its been really great! I have the i7 intel model with RTX 2060 16GB of RAM and 300hz display. I have two simple questions:
- I can upgrade the battery to use a bigger one?
- which SSD I could use to get 1TB of space?
Thanks!

Its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06656951
It uses 6-cell, 70.9 Wh Li-ion battery. The series offers 2 batteries
- 6 cell, 70.9 Whr, polymer, HP Long Life
- 3 cell, 52.5 Whr, polymer, HP Long Life (for lower specs video card).
And no other battery.
Looks like your machine has RAID 0 with two M.2 512GB SSD's. If you wish to increase to 1TB, you have two options:
(a) Replace both drives with
and the second 1TB one from other vendor
(b) Disable RAID0 and you have 2 drives 512GB + 512GB
Please try

Note: Please try at your own risk and backup your data before disable RAID0.
Regards.

thank you!
so in other words, there is no way to use a more powerful battery, right?
Regarding the SSD, do I actually have to replace both disks? that is purchasing two 1 terabytes disks? And what about the OS? where is it installed?
Thanks again!

Regarding to Drives , you don't have to upgrade both drives , you can leave the 512gb as main drive and ADD and second drive as I did just recently with mine... As I mentioned in a different thread.
I recently installed (2 days ago) "WB Black SN750 - 1 TB NVMe" as Data Drive and is working better than expected.
The Intel 512gb+32gb Optane still my main OS/Programs drive and WB SN750 as Data/Game drive.
If you need a Raid configuration , that's where you need to do some extra upgrade to be able to Raid the drives....
I honestly don't like using Raid and have my drives as I was mentioned above.
