OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-xd0000 (758R0AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought this laptop on august 2025 , it was running all good , and i take proper care of my device , the laptop has its own bag , but after using it on 13th jan when it was all good ... i turned on the device on 14th jan , then i noticed 3 spots on the screen, the device has zero signs of water and physical damage. i contacted the customer support they stated it is a physical damage hence i need to pay rs.16144 for the display replacement , it is very awful to state the quality of hp has gone down over the years , i can confidently say that the product hasn't gone through any tussle but the product in its originality is dispute.

I EVEN GOT 3YRS EXTENDED WARRANTY .

this is request to the officials to look into the matter and get a fruitful resolution .

P.S. i bought the laptop on august after opening the box in the store itself noticed a slight problem on trackpad but thankfully got it replaced and now when i am using the replaced one it seems to have display issue.  kudos to hp for producing such faulty products

Hi @sayann,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

We truly understand your frustration and disappointment upon noticing white spots on your HP Victus laptop’s display.

After reviewing your description, we would like to clarify that white spots or lightened localized areas on the screen are typically considered user-induced damage. These lighter areas usually occur when a sharp object or edge forcefully contacts the display panel, leading to pressure marks that appear as visible spots.

We respect your perspective. However, based on standard diagnostic guidelines, such display issues are categorized as physical damage and therefore are not covered under warranty.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster!

As you are saying it is usually caused by sharp objects or any other damages

since it usually occurs doesn’t reflect to the fact that in my case it is a product quality issue . As a responsible user i know how it was kept and maintained by me.
for your clarification it is omen series laptop not a victus one
