Help please!!! My HP SimpleSave pd1000a portable hard drive is not working!!! 😞 First problem: my laptop does not recognize it but I got some help and now I can see the drive in My Computer; I'm not sure if I did it correctly though so it leads to my second problem: the total size showing is only 99.9 MB - I tried to format it but it does not complete. Third problem: I can't find the software/driver to run it. :,( I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can help me to finally get this hard drive working! P.S. I already tried to go to Support > Software&Driver but it's not available.

I understand that you are facing an issue with the external HDD, is that right?
Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.
Have you tried the HDD on any other computer?
Have you checked the External HDD in disk management?
Recommend you run Disk management on your computer.
Check the external HDD in the disk management and if there is any unallocated space, right click on the 99MB partition and expand the drive.
For assistance in using Disk management, refer to this HP Article.
If the issue persists, reformat the HDD in the NTFS format with default file size.
Try the steps suggested on page number 18 in this HP Article.
For other support options for the HDD, refer to this HP Article.
