My HP Color LaserJet MFP M281cdw printer make a loud beep right before printing.  Anyone knows why?

@jclin, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

I see that there is a beep sound while printing, let us try to isolate and resolve the issue-

  • What happens when you make photocopies on the printer?
  • Did you make any changes to the printer recently?
  • Has it been making this sound ever since or started just recently?

Meanwhile, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
