macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I have a Officejet pro 8600 I've used for years and well taken care of. Recently my TV/internet/home phone provider changed my Wi-Fi into 5G. The network that we used still appears but the password doesn't connect to it anymore. That password only works with the new 5G networks that is the same name of the previous one except for it ending in _5G.

This network doesn't appear on the touch screen of the printer to be able to connect to it. It does not connect to it if I manually type in the full network name.

The old network name appears but doesn't accept the password.

All other devices connect to 5G except for the HP printers and my sons PS3.

Please help with any input you might have on how can I do to fix my printer issue. I appreciate it any help

Thank you,

Hi @Jvjeweler

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the  "cannot connect to 5GHz" issue.

The  HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printers only supports the 2.4GHz network.

you can check printer specifications: Printer Specifications for HP Officejet Pro 860 e-All-in-One Printers

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
