Error message regarding ink cartridge

HP Recommended
HP Envy 4527
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

The message on my HP printer screen states "Remove and reinstall indicated cartridge making sure it is correctly installed. If this message continues to appear, replace the indicated ink cartridge" …..I have done this many times and the printer still won't work message stays the same. I have been through the HP help pages and done EVERYTHING is says to fix ink problems, but to no avail. The diagnostics indicated that I don't have any colour ink left and therefore HP should have automatically sent me a replacement, however when I check the 'estimated' ink levels on the actual printer it states that I have loads of ink left!  Does anyone know how to get HP to send a replacement ink cartridge under the instant ink programme, because I have clearly run out of colour ink, but my printer is not communicating this to HP???? Thanks very much.
