Product: Office jet pro 6978

Need to store my office jet 6978 printer for a long time ink cartridge has no ink. How do I do that?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

You may store the ink cartridges in an airtight container/plastic bags and the printer just stays as it is. You cannot do anything for the printer.

 

If you do not use the printer for 3-6 months, before using it, make sure you clean the printhead to clear the nozzles. It would have dried up or blocked.
