Hello,

 

I would like to change the black ink cartridge, but I cannot reach it (the carriage "hides" in its parking position).
What can I do to make it stop in the center to be able to change the cartridge?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

 

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand that you want to know how to replace the black ink. 

The carriage only moves if the printer is in a printhead error state. If the carriage does not move to the center of the printer when you open the printhead access door, the printheads do not need to be replaced. Replace printheads only when instructed to by error messages on the printer software, control panel, or HP Smart app.
