Product: Pavilion M6
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I just replaced the fan unit and now the touch pad doesn't work. I have tried to update the drivers for it and still nothing. I have an external mouse now hooked up and works just fine. How do I fix this?

I suggest you run a Touchpad Test from F2 to confirm the Hardware Functionality

 

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the Notebook.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. 
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Touchpad
