HP ENVY x360 15-u010dx PN: G6T84UA#ABA
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

The ongoing problems with my laptop currently are:

1. Issue with Chrome on MANY web pages.

Example: When I enter "https://www.gmail.com/", following notification pop-up

Your connection is not private.

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.gmail.com (for example, passwords,  messages, or credit cards)

Learn more

NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

2. Window store is not working at all.

When I tried to open store, the following message pop-up:

Your PC isn't connected to the internet. To use the store, connect to the internet and then try again.

This is kinda annoying since I have regular internet connection and it is working nornally for other sites.

Your kind help and resolutions would be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi

If the messages etc are true, and not a mis-leading false positive, then it suggests that, either

You are connecting via a proxy, or open network, and that network is not trusted, EG: Man in the Middle

http://www.information-age.com/what-are-mobile-man-middle-attacks-and-how-dangerous-are-they-1234610...

someone is actually to trying to steal your details, OR

The Authenticity Certificate has expired.

So are you certain of the connection method, it is your own ISP router that is being used?

Hi CF4,

Thank you so much for your kind concern. However, to let you know that my laptop has ongoing issue wether I am connected to my home network or to my university network. I should be confident that these network are trusted since the one I use at home is directly from the service provider and the another one is from the University which I guess should be trusted. This issue is only with chrome.
Also, as mentioned earlier I have an issue with my store also. It is not working at all.

Hi CF4,

Thank you for your feedback. I tried to open the chrome site blocker; but, there occured an error with the chrome. However, by adding a chrome site blocker, how can webpages open (like gmail.com)? Is' nt it just for blocking unwanted webpages?

Fire fox is working normally while browsing all webpages.
