@miti22
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • Are you getting any error code or message?
  • Have tried with different USB flash drive?
  • What is the operating system?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello.  It is a v250W 256GB usb Flash drive.

I have tried to format it on both windows 10 and Mac OS 10.13

On windows 10 the message is :  "Windows was unable to complete the format"

On Mac OS 10.13 the message is:   "Could not mount disk after erase"

On windows 10 i have tried with windows explorer , part disk and windows disk mager.

On Mac Os i have used Disk utility.

Is there another procedure to format the usb Drive?

please find the product photo attached.

Thanks!

@miti22

Thank you for posting back.

There’s no Phone/ Chat support available for the USB Flash Drives.

Technical support for the HP USB Flash Drives and SD Memory cards can be contacted by writing to hpsupport@pny.com

You can include this information:

• The model number of your product (for example v125w or c325w).

• Your PC / Notebook system information including Operating System. Be as detailed as possible so that a support agent can do the necessary research before replying to your service request.

• Date of Purchase

• The detailed explanation of the question or issue you are experiencing with the HP USB Flash Drive.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
