I'm having issues forwarding audio from a headless compute node that does not have a display manager. When I install ZCentral Remote Boost in a fresh linux install, things work fine provided a display manager is running. These are the test steps I was using in any linux version:
Steps to Reproduce (In any modern Linux Version, fresh installation):
1. Install Server side ZCentral
2. Reboot the machine
3. Log in.
4. Connect with ZCentral Receiver. Run speaker-test and listen to test tones.
5. Run systemctl stop display-manager in a terminal
6. Switch to an alternate tty using Ctrl+Alt+(F2 through F9)
6. Log in and Run startx
7. Connect with ZCentral Receiver. Run Speaker-Test and observe no test tone being played back.

Systems that are not running a display manager are not supported by Remote Boost. There are many services that make up a working Linux desktop system. One of those services is pulseaudio. It was found that many of these services may not work correctly when a display manager is not running and some security features depend on the display manager. As of Remote Boost 20.0.0, the sender is run as a Linux system service called rgsender. The rgsender service depends on the display manager service. If you stop the display manager, it will stop the rgsender service.
Sender versions older than 20.0.0, meaning RGS 7.x, when the X server started, it would load the extension. When the extension was loaded, it would attempt to start the sender.
