ZCentral Remote Boost has been rebranded back to HP Z Remote Graphics Software (RGS).  The new V26.02.0.9825 release is now available at HP Software Depot  https://h30670.www3.hp.com/portal/swdepot/index.do or can be downloaded from the official HP Z RGS website:  https://www.hp.com/us-en/workstations/z-remote-graphics-software.html.

You must have a username and password created to perform the downloads.  If any issues, please email zcentral@hp.com for assistance.

V26.02.0.9825 is a patch release for those users that are using HP Anyware CA+ licenses but are using Remote Boost V22.  For new users that are purchasing HP Z RGS, this release will be the first, but wanted to share that this version can be used on the new RGS licenses as well as the HP Anyware CA+ licenses.

I have attached the release notes and latest user guide.  Please not that in the installation section, we have updated the installation section with the new licensing installation instructions for HP Z RGS.

When you purchase new HP Z Workstations, you can bundle HP Z RGS, and get one year free!

Here are the new HP Z RGS SKUs.

UR1P6SL - HP RGS 1 Year Term License

UR1P7SL - HP RGS 3 Year Term License

UR1P8SS - HP RGS 1 Year Trial License with New Z Workstation

UR1P9SS - HP RGS 3 Year Term LIcense with New Z Workstation

Hey, thanks for sharing this update! I get what you’re saying—this whole rebranding from ZCentral Remote Boost back to HP Z Remote Graphics Software (RGS) can be confusing, especially with all the license types floating around. I faced something similar when I upgraded from an older Remote Boost version; figuring out which patch worked with my existing licenses took a bit of trial and error. What helped me was: Double-checking my license type before installing any updates, so I didn’t break anything. Following the new installation section carefully—especially the licensing steps; HP’s guide is actually pretty clear once you focus on it. Keeping the old version backed up just in case something went wrong. I saw some practical tips about RGS on U-Shop recently that helped me streamline remote graphics sessions. Curious, has anyone tried the V26 patch yet—any noticeable performance improvements?

Hello, thank you for your sharing this news.

Does new version of RGS the function of connection broker?

Or it has just remote connection functions?

My understanding, ZCentral Remote Boost was ended for support in 2022.

So We should transfer to HP Anyware (PCoIP) software.

ZCentral was still activated from 2022 to 2026?

HP Z RGS will not be using ZCentral Connect (broker).  It is purely a remoting protocol.  You can use it with Leostream Broker.  ZCentral Remote Boost V20 had its last release in Nov 2024.  The only way to continue using Remote Boost V22 was to switch over to the HP Anyware licensing subscription.  The last release for Remote Boost V22 before the rebranding back to RGS was 22.1.2.9453.  HP Z RGS V26 release will work on the HP Anyware Pro licenses, and will be used for users still using Remote Boost V22 as patch releases so customers can continue to use their software and get updates.   HP Anyware has been publicly announced that it is going End of LIfe (EOL).

Hello Kelly,

Thank you for your reply.

I understood that RGS doesn't have connection broker function.
