I have had issues with Windows updates breaking Remote Boost, especially Remote USB.  Normally if I see this, I uninstall Remote Boost and reinstall it, and that usually resolves my problem.

I am now trying a system restore.

Can you tell me what version of Windows 10 you have installed and what version you are upgrading to when you see this issue?

I see you are using 20.1.0.26348.  I will test with that but also with 20.1.2.8161 release.

Hi Kelly,

After hours and hours of troubleshooting and reinstalling windows it turns out it nothing to with windows, patches or drivers. The way i got it to final work with the dongles is to:

1) Plug the Z2 into a monitor

2) RDP to the Z2

3) Unplug the monitor

4) Plug in the dongles

5) Reboot

6) Plug it into the rack in the server and watch Remote Boost work

Dont ask me why this worked or was the fix lol.

That is so strange.  I have never had issues with using EDID emulators.  Our headless EDID property was another option to try that is in the rgsenderconfig file if you should have any other issues.  You can also create an EDID file from a display that has all of the resolutions you need to match, load it on a port that you are not connected to, and that should also prevent you from having a black screen.  Just for future reference.
