Product: zBook15 and z640
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a zBook15 and a z640 workstation.

I recently heard about zCentral, installed it on both machines, and it works well on my home network. I believe that in order for it to work remotely, I would need to connect through a VPN (which I don't have).

For many years I've used Splashtop to connect remotely. Is it worth the effort of setting up a VPN to get zCentral working, or does Splashtop do pretty much the same thing?
