Dual Monitor

HP ZCentral Remote Boost
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, We are using the HP ZCentral Remote boost application to access and work on our office systems remotely. All our office systems which have the HP ZCentral Sender application installed are running with Windows 10. We use NVidia Quadro M4000 and Geforce GTX 1070 graphics card on the office workstations. We have 2 queries:

1. Most of the systems in office are connected with single monitor display though our users at their home have the provision of dual monitors. Is there a way to virtually enable the dual monitor mode without having to physically add another monitor at the office system?

2. Is there a way to work on the remote system without having to have the monitor turned on at the remote system?

Hi there,

1) Yes, you can set your senders to match the resolution and layout of your receiver's displays.

Open your receiver settings (the gear icon in the receiver window), then on the Connection tab, select the option " Set Sender Display(s) to match Receiver Display(s)

Then, connect to your sender. Your sender will try to match whatever display setup your receiver has.

These graphics cards should be able to handle display matching on the receiver.

2) Hmm, well, if this is the case where your sender is not recognizing the attached monitor, it might think that the sender is headless. Are you having issues connecting with the monitor off?

If this is the case, you can set a property in the sender's rgsenderconfig file (located in the RGS install folder),

set the property Rgsender.Compatibility.Displays.ForceEdidOnHeadless to 1.

I've attached the user's Guide too so you can find more information about Displays settings in general.
