HP Remote Graphics Sender asks for license on HP blade workstation
09-14-2017 02:41 AM

Hi there,
on a ProLiant WS460c G6 Blade Workstation using HP Remote Graphics v7.3.3 I get the error:
The licensing system was unable to locate a valid license.
I am surprised, that this message appears, because, as noted in the documentation, HP workstations usually do not require a separate license.
How can I get the current license configuration? How should it look like on a HP blade workstation?
Thanks you in advance for your help.
Best regards
Chris

Hello, the RGS sender only comes free for HP ZBooks and HP Workstations. HPE blades/servers require a license. However, if you are trying out RGS, you can download a trial license from our web page, and it will work on any blade/server as long as it is installed as a local license and not as a floating license.
From Website:
HP Remote Graphics Software downloads
HP RGS sender is free on HP Z Workstations and ZBooks, but requires a license on all other hardware and virtual workstations. HP RGS receiver is a free download.
Experience HP RGS before you buy with our 60-day trial license
Link to website, scroll down towards bottom of page, and you will see button to press for downloading trial license. If purchasing a license after trial, you would need to contact HPE.

I work on the behalf of HP.
