Product: HP 820
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We are trying out RGS in our facility for remote editing with Avid Media Composer over the VPN. I got all the Firewall Ports in place based on the documentation yet I still can't connect when I enable HP Velocity!. The version I'm running 7.7. 

With HP Velocity turned off I can connect with no issues but I'm having a really bad performance where it lags, pauses video playback on its one, lip sync ... etc 

 

Any help or guidance would be really appreciated.

Hi there,

 

When you opened the port 42966 on your Firewall, did you open it for TCP only?

Velocity uses UDP, so my recommendation is to check that port 42966 is open for both TCP and UDP.
