HP is proud and excited to share the continued support and development of HP ZCentral Remote Boost (RGS) and HP Anyware. Each are valuable and unique remote access tools tailored to specific use cases. Each won an Engineering Emmy Award! Use the one that best suits your needs, or use them both. Each are currently available by purchasing HP Anyware Pro Licenses. The current supported version of ZCentral Remote Boost is V22.
ZCentral Remote Boost stands out when customers require:
· Remote access to desktop workstations sometimes but work in front of those desktop workstations at other times. Seamless remote to Local switching
· A simpler solution to quickly and easily deploy and support. Easy to edit config file
· Dynamic end user experience controls to adjust image quality vs frame rate dynamically depending on the task at hand. (Reduce IT calls)
· Collaborative screen sharing between many uses (for design reviews etc.)
· Collaborative screen sharing join requests without external email invites
· Linux GUI and Linux GeForce support
· Broader VPN support
· More interactive for certain applications.

Good to see HP clarifying this. Both tools have their strengths, and it’s really about what environment you’re working in.
ZCentral Remote Boost is still the go-to if you’re in a workstation setup where you’re sometimes local, sometimes remote, and want quick switching, easy config, and collaboration features without extra complexity.
HP Anyware is broader in scope — better if you’re managing a larger or more diverse remote workforce, especially across different infrastructures.
The nice part is you don’t have to pick one forever — HP is keeping both supported, and licenses cover either. So if your workflow leans more towards project-based collaboration and occasional remote access, stick with Remote Boost. If you’re rolling out remote desktops at scale or in mixed environments, Anyware might make more sense.
