Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I have recently ordered a hp MPP2.0 Pen. However, it does not connect to my hp laptop windows 11  PC15-eg ...

It states on the instructions that ,"download the hp app  pen control," however, the app is not on my laptop's app store.

If someone can please guide me on this issue. I would be extremely greatful.

HP Pen Control is only useful when the pen is supported by the computer.

The app provides options for button control.

The app does not connect the pen.

Not all computers support an active pen / stylus.

Product Series "PC15-eg" - possibly one of...

Open the HP Product Home for your computer series

Open Category Manuals

Find and Open the service and maintenance manual

Go to Section Miscellaneous  parts

Alternatively, search the document for keyword "pen " or "stylus"

Look for supported pen / stylus options in the list.

Example

HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg0000

Open Category Manuals

Open

Maintenance and Service Guide

Go to section  Miscellaneous parts

Pages 20-21

Note - in our example >>>

There are not any HP compatible pens / stylus options listed in the manual for this model / series.

Passive Pen Options for Touch Screen

If you wish to do so,

If your computer has a touchscreen,

When an active stylus is not an option on your machine,

Consider a Passive Stylus / Pen

Capacitive / Passive pen is not the same thing as an active stylus, of course.

Passive pen works like your finger on the touchscreen.
