RGS v7.4

Background:

  • We have HP z440 Workstation with SN# :[Personal Information Removed], which is being remoted into by Hp T730 Thin Client with SN# : [Personal Information Removed]
  • Using  HP RGS v7.4 (which is deprecated) which is being used for Remoting.

Issue:

We are seeing "Random Shutdown Messages" for Z440 Workstation which runs RGS Sender.

Analysis So far:

WIndows Event Logs for z440 Workstation and Thin Clients, Sydney Trains Proprietary Application logs and RGS Sender logs are reviewed and we could see a "Shutdown" command issued but unable to locate the initiator of "Shutdown" request.  The Windows Event Log entry shows the same pattern as Someone pressed the power button on z440 Workstation but that's not practically possible as z440 Workstations are locked in a desk and properly ventilated.  Please note, we have about 20 of such installations and 1 of them is showing such behaviour since last week.  As an elimination strategy, we would like HP to review the RG Sender and RG Receiver logs to ensure RGS is not issuing the shutdown command due to some exceptions encountered.  The reason we would like to rule out RGS is because in RG Sender logs we are seeing some error messages related "Floor Owner Changed' events but we have Collaborations Mode disabled.

Any help would be appreciated.
