Dell Wyse 5070 thin client
Microsoft Windows 10 IOT

I'm a new user of HP zCentral Boost - We want to set up one remote connection and have an HP z420 workstation that we are using as our host computer. The Boost sender software has been installed and all is working well. We have purchased a Dell Wyse 5070 thin client running Windows 10 IOT Enterprise and I am wanting to install the HP zBoost receiver software on it. Is this possible or can you only run the software on an HP thin client?

You should be able to install our Windows Receiver on it.  If not, let me know and I will reach out to you in private email to collect logs and necessary info.  We do not require a license for the Remote Boost Receiver.  Not sure if the Dell thin client requires you to remove write protection to the hard drive or not, but if it does, and you haven't, Remote Boost installs into cache and when you reboot the system it is no longer there.  This happens on our HP Thin Clients running Win 10 IOT.

Hi Kelly, thanks for your reply and assistance. The dell thin client does have a write filter that I disabled temporarily and was able to download the Remote boost Receiver software. When I go to install, the install wizard begins, I can choose typical install to the default location in Program files, and at that point I receive two error messages:

- HP ZCentral Remote Boost 2020 Receiver Error. The system cannot open the device or file specified.

- Feature transfer error. Error: 0110 The system cannot open the device or file specified.

If you could reach out via email that would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Kelly, Just reaching out again to see if you were able to contact me to see if you or your team could assist with the issues we are still having installing the Hp Boost receiver software on a Dell thin client.

We are currently running the software succesfully between two HP Z420 workstations, but would be nice if we could use the thin client as a second client machine.

Thanks, Nick.

Apology for delay, had to fix my account so I would receive notifications when users responded.  Reaching out in private email.
