Hello!

we're struggling a bit with Linux Senders using a headless configuration to work across multiple monitors.

We have 2 x 1920x1200 monitors connected to either Windows 10 or HP T630 Thin Clients.

We've created an EDID with an Eizo CG319X and followed the instructions in the Zcentral Admin Guide PDF, here's our basic xorg.conf:

Section "Device"

        Identifier "Videocard0"
        Driver "nvidia"
        BusID "PCI:134:0:0"
        VendorName "NVIDIA Corporation"
        Option "AllowEmptyInitialConfiguration" "true"

Option "ConnectedMonitor" "DFP-0,DFP-1"

Option "CustomEDID" "DFP-0:/etc/X11/Eizo_CH319X_EDID.bin; DFP-1:/etc/X11/Eizo_CH319X_EDID.bin"

EndSection

Section "Screen"
        Identifier "foobar"

Option "TwinView" "true"

Option "MetaModes" "DFP-0: 4096x2160 +0+0, DFP-1: 4096x2160 +4096+0; DFP-0: 4096x2160 +0+0, DFP-1: 1920x1080 +4096+0; DFP-0: 4096x2160 +0+0, DFP-1:NULL; DFP-0: 2560x1440 +0+0, DFP-1: 2560x1440 +2560+0; DFP-0: 2560x1440 +0+0, DFP-1: 1920x1080 +2560+0; DFP-0: 2560x1440 +0+0, DFP-1:NULL; DFP-0: 1920x1200 +0+0, DFP-1: 1920x1200 +1920+0; DFP-0: 1920x1200 +0+0, DFP-1:NULL; DFP-0: 1920x1080 +0+0, DFP-1: 1920x1080 +1920+0; DFP-0: 1920x1080 +0+0, DFP-1:NULL; DFP-0: 1680x1050 +0+0, DFP-1: 1680x1050 +1680+0; DFP-0: 1680x1050 +0+0, DFP-1:NULL; DFP-0: 1600x1200 +0+0, DFP-1: 1600x1200 +1200+0; DFP-0: 1600x1200 +0+0, DFP-1:NULL; DFP-0: 1400x1050 +0+0, DFP-1: 1400x1050 +1400+0; DFP-0: 1400x1050 +0+0, DFP-1:NULL; DFP-0: 1280x1024 +0+0, DFP-1: 1280x1024 +1280+0; DFP-0: 1280x1024 +0+0, DFP-1:NULL"

SubSection "Display"

        Depth 24

EndSubSection

EndSection

Works fine with a single monitor, but over a pair of monitors, we get the following output:

20200611_170515.jpg

Just a single 4k X Screen, which doesn't scale over 2 monitors.

Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Ben

We have dual 27" monitors working without issue.  But they are actual monitors connected on the Sender side.  Have you tried adding dummy dongles on the sender side?
