I am able to achieve a connection with  ZCentral Remote Boost. Once the sender machine displays, I am able to interact with the ZCentral toolbar on top, but there is no mouse or keyboard input on the Sender machine. Essentially, I can see the sender machine display but cannot interact with it.  Is there a setting somewhere that allows or prevents remote mouse/keyboard input?

Try installing the VMouseSetup on the Windows sender to see if this resolves your problem.  If this is not a standard mouse, and you are using a specialty mouse like a 3DConnexion device.  You will need to refer to page 69 in the latest user guide on how to change the remoting behavior.  If you have trouble with the VMouse MSI that is package in the Remote Boost Sender/Receiver pkg, let me know.  I can send you the executable.

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for the prompt response. I installed the VMouseSetup on the sender machine, but it had no effect and still unable to interact with the sender after connecting. I am using a standard mouse. I am able to connect through Windows Remote Desktop and can interact fine. Any other thoughts that I can try?

Thank you,

Jeff

Okay, I was hoping that would resolve the issue.  So according to your post, you have a Windows 10 sender.  Is your sender headless?  What version of Remote Boost are you using on both the sender and receiver?

The receiver and sender are running Windows 10 Pro. Both are using Remote Boost version 20.1.0.26348 The sender machine is not headless.

Thank you,

Jeff

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling with reboots after each to see if this fixes the issue?  I have seen Microsoft updates cause this issue.  I did not see anything in the release notes that indicated we had any mouse issues.

I am currently working remotely until next week, so I don't currently have physical access to the sender. I have uninstalled and reinstalled on the receiver unit with no success, but will do the same with the sender unit when I am able and respond with an update after.

Thank you again for all of your help,

Jeff

Thank you for following up. Unfortunately, I have been unable to resolve the issue. I am able to establish a connection, but there is no mouse or keyboard input to interact with the sender machine.
