Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello HP-Community,

we are using HP ZBoost Sender and Receiver. At the Sender we have installed MS Teams. At the Receiver there are connected a Logitech Microphone and Webcam. The Problem is i can't use the Micro and Cam ON the Sender in MS Teams. Remote USB is enabled but i didn't work. Do you know what i mean? Have you any idea?

Thanks a lot.

If you did a default installation of Remote Boost, Remote USB should be installed as local/remote.  If these two devices are plugged in prior to making a Remote Boost connection, the devices will stay local.  You would need to unplug the devices and plug them back in to get them to remote.  You can also change the remoting behavior of particular devices in the registry.  See pages 52 and 53 in the attached user guide.   If you set the device to auto, this will allow the devices to remote to the sender without having to unplug them and plug them back in when using Remote Boost, and when disconnecting, it will bring the devices back locally.

Hello Kelly,

thanks for your answer. I did a default installation but it didn`t work. The two devices arre pluged in local. I will use the microphone and Webcam at the sender in Microsoft Teams. But nothing happend when i pluged the two devices in and out.

Are there any seetings to do at the sender-PC? Where is the regedit to do? At the Sender or Receiver-PC? Sorry but i don't know what to do and we need this feature...

Thanks Kelly.

Greetings

Hello Kelly. I've done the registry entries and now it works! Thanks for that. A little Problem still exists. The audio quality ist not perfect. There's a cracking every 5-10 seconds. This is very distracting. How can we fix this problem? Thanks for your help!

What are you using for your audio driver?  Remote Boost does have an audio driver that only loads when it does not see an audio device.  It may be something to try.  Audio quality is also dependent on low latency.  I will be reaching out to you in a private email to gather more info.

What kind of Reg Keys would need to be modified? I seem to be too blind to see this in this thread. Sorry.

In the user guide, for 20.1 it is page Remote USB starts at page 52.  The next page goes into how to change the registry settings to change the remoting behavior for individual USB devices.  When I use this, I set the device to auto so the device can be automatically remoted to the sender with a Remote Boost connection, and then comes back locally when I end the session.  I normally have to reboot my receiver after making the changes to get it to work .

Great. Thanks a lot. I was not sure, whether I missed something.
