Hi @all,

 

we are facing some issues regarding our RGS setup over VPN. Several customers are complaing about network connection issues. The recevier loses the connection to the sender and the users have to reconnect again to establish the connection again. rg.log on sender shows some connection issues:

 

04-26-23 08:40:43 4476(12860) INFO - Sender::SenderImpl::reportIssue - [...] has reported an issue but recommands the connection continue. The issue was: d:\source\githubenterprise\icelivesocket\src\ice\cpp\src\ice\streamsocket.cpp:478: ::Ice::SocketException:
socket exception: Das Zeitlimit für die Semaphore wurde erreicht.

 

Is there any advice on debugging that issue? Is there any documentation on network charts of RGS/Remote Boost? The User Guide isn't very comprehensive so far.

Can you tell me what version of RGS you are using on sender and receiver?  If you have HP Velocity enabled, network traffic does change from TCP to UDP.  If users are getting disconnected right away, trying unchecking HP Velocity in the Receiver GUI settings and see if that helps.  What VPN are you using?  Did this just happening on this particular VPN, or did something change in the network, or new VPN?
