I have a user who says their wacom intuos stylus gets sticky when using HP ZCentral RB. They have no issue when using the workstation via Teradici zero client / PCoIP.
"sticky" e.g. they grab a window and move it to a different location on the desktop but it keeps following wherever the stylus goes -- it doesn't stay where they initially dragged it. Not sure if this has to do with the stylus lifting away from the tablet, but this does not happen when using the computer locally or via PCoIP, only via ZCentral.
sender and receiver OS version: windows 10
sender and receiver HP ZCentral RB version: 20.1.2.8161
wacom intuos4 PTK-440, driver version: v6.3.41-1
It seems to be this one user, so hoping someone could let us know if it is a config / user setting issue or how we can test further.
thanks!

Let me check on this for you. A new release is about to appear on the ZCentral webpage for Remote Boost in the next couple of days. It will be 20.2.1. Can you try upgrading your sender and receiver to that release and let me know if things improve or not? Also, are you using a particular application when you see this behavior?

Hi Kelly,
Thanks for the reply. Apparently the stylus stickiness happens all the time, not just in a specific app. If she uses a mouse, it doesn't happen. I'm going to try to run more tests on our end as it is just this one user who is experiencing this. I just thought maybe you had heard of this issue before.
The user reports that:
The stickiness happens on everything I click, no specific software, and it happens pretty frequently like randomly every 10 seconds. So when I'm navigating in the software it's easy to accidentally drag something by error when my pen is hovering over the tablet.
It sounds like the stylus hovering sensitivity is somehow increase for this user. I forgot to add that this user is WFH, so they are connected via OpenVPN.
We will def. test the latest version when it is released.
thanks

If you could provide steps on what the user is doing so I can try to reproduce the issue, that would be great. Remote Boost 20.2.1 has just released and is on the web. Make sure to review the Wacom solution in the user guide, page 50, in the 20.2.1 user guide which I have attached. Remote Boost Wacom solution uses Windows Ink. It could be a setting in the Windows Wacom Tablet Properties that may need to be adjusted.

-
GET RID OF OS PEN AND TOUCH VISUAL EFFECTS
-
DISABLE “FLICKS” AND SWIPING GESTURES
-
DISABLE PRESS AND HOLD FOR RIGHT CLICK
-
Deactivate “Use Windows Ink” in your Wacom driver
-
creating a custom user setting file
-
Put the file in your Photoshop folder according to the PS version you are using
-
Reduce input lag by lowering the touch prediction value in the Windows registry
